Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SlideToAnki ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

SlideToAnki is a web application that converts lecture slides (PDF and PowerPoint files) into Anki flashcards using AI-powered text extraction and card generation.

User Responsibilities

You must only upload files that you have the right to use and process.
You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your institution's policies regarding course materials.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or abuse the Service.

Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the content you upload. We do not claim ownership of your files or the flashcards generated from them.

The SlideToAnki service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

AI-Generated Content

Flashcards are generated using AI (OpenAI) and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or misinterpretations of your source material. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of generated flashcards before use. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Plans and Billing

SlideToAnki offers free and paid plans. Current prices, lecture allowances, card targets, and billing periods are shown on the pricing page before checkout. Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled through the account billing portal. Existing subscriptions remain subject to the plan and price accepted at checkout unless we provide notice of a change.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
